I stopped her abruptly.
Why?
Was she saying something wrong?
No.

Was it data?

Here it is: ENTHUSIASM.
I asked her to speak more enthusiastically.
And she did. And I became more attentive now.

Nope, dear.
Yes great leaders have empathy and try to understand you but that doesn't give you right to be boring.
When you show up, show up powerfully.
With full enthusiasm.
When there's a call at 9 AM, and a meeting at 10 AM...none at the 10 AM meeting cares about what you felt at 9:59 AM. They want your FULL PRESENCE.
As a speaker & leader it's your responsibility to not just share info & ideas...
It's also your responsibility to ENGAGE people's attention by DESIGN.
No matter what happens today, speak ENTHUSIASTICALLY.
The world is changing. The world is changing RAPIDLY.
